Ingredients: 500 g minced beef, salt, pepper, bunch of fresh coriander, 1 onion - finely chopped, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 onion - roughly chopped, 3 garlic cloves - chopped, 1 red chilli - chopped, 1 tsp turmeric, fresh coriander and mint to serve.
Preheat the oven at 180° C.
Grind the cumin seeds. Mix the meat with chopped coriander, finely chopped onion, smoked paprika, cinnamon, cumin seeds, salt and pepper. Form little balls with the mix.
In a pan, fry the onion, garlic and chilli with the turmeric. Cook for 2 - 3 min. Add 300 ml water.
Pour the mix into the tagine.
Start adding the meatballs.
Cook in the oven for 35 - 45 min, stirring occasionally, so that all the meatballs are cooked.
I assume you can imagine the smell that came out of the oven every time I stirred the meatballs. Someone was loving it!!!!!
Serve hot, with fresh bread, and some fresh chopped coriander and mint.
