Shortbread biscuits

Try making these easy treats for a sunny Sunday afternoon!





Ingredients: 125 g butter, 55 g caster sugar plus extra to finish, 180 g plain flour.



Pre-heat the oven at 180 C.

Beat the butter and the sugar until smooth. Stir in the flour and knead until you get a smooth paste.

Turn on to a work surface and roll out the paste into a sheet 1cm thick.

Cut it however you please and place on a baking tray. Sprinkle with sugar.

Bake in the oven for 15 - 20 min, or until pale golden-brown.
