Cabbage and gammon

If you are in a hurry and you need to cook something easy, fast and delicious, I recommend this recipe: cabbage and gammon.
Ingredients: smoked gammon, 1 small green cabbage,1 small red cabbage, salt, pepper, thyme.
Cut the gammon into one bite size pieces. Fry it on a medium heat until golden.



In the meantime, slice the cabbage - it doesn't have to be too small. Put the cabbage into a bowl and pour hot water on it, until covered, and leave for 5-10 min to soften.


Drain the cabbage and mix it with the gammon. Add the pepper and thyme. Cover and leave to fry for 20-25 min, stirring from time to time.  Don't forget to season.

Serve warm with fresh home-made bread and a glass of red wine.
