Apple tarte tatin

Perfect summer treat for a garden bbq!
 
 
And gluten free one.
 
 

Ingredients for one tarte: 3 apples, 3 tbsp sugar, 3 tbsp butter, 200 g flour (or gluten free flour), 200 g butter.
 
Preheat the oven at 180 C.
Peel the apples and cut them into slices.
 

In a tarte tray, add the sugar and 3 tbsp butter and melt on the stove. Carefull not to touch the tray with your bare hands. It will hurt.
 
 
 Add the apples and cook until softened and transparent. Stir in often.
 
 

In the meantime, mix the flour and thebutter into a dough. Knead until the dough is smooth. Do not worry if it will be a bit sandy, specially the gluten free one.
 
 
Roll it out.
 
 
Place the dough on top of the apples.
 
 
Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 20 - 25 min.
 
 
Allow to rest for 10 -15 minutes, before you flip it over.
