Beef stew with horseradish dumplings


Ingredients: 1 kg of beef - chopped into large chunks, 2 shallots, 2 cubes chicken stock, 3 carrots, 2 small beers.
For the dumplings: 70 g of soft butter, 350 g flour (or gluten free flour + 3 tsp Xanthan gum), 2 tbsp horseradish cream

Preheat the oven at 150 C.
Cook the meat into a pan until browned. Remove it from the pan into a bowl.

 
Add the shallots and carrots into the same pan and cook it. Then add the meat back and cook for a few more minutes. Put everything into an oven dish.
In the same pan, pour the beer and add the chicken stock.

 
  
Pour over the beef and vegetables and cook everything in the oven for 45 min.

 
Before the 45 min, start making the dumplings.
Weight the butter.

 
Add the flour and the horseradish.


Mix everything into a dough.


Start forming bowls.


When the 45 min have passed, the meat will look like this:
 
 
Add the dumplings to the dish and pop it back in the oven for 25 min.
